Japanese Surrender Film (the real thing) and Arrogance Blocks Improvement

Arrogance Blocks Improvement

The Torah ideal is for us to have a positive self-image, while at the same time we must keep a distance from arrogance.

Think of a way that arrogance might prevent you from seeing your faults or mistakes. In order to overcome our faults and shortcomings, we first have to recognize them!

This is an actual film made of the surrender ceremony of the Japanese to MacArthur in Tokyo Bay in September 1945.  Actual voice of the General.  Never been shown to the general public before.  We always saw the "stills" but never the film itself.

Historical Footage: Japanese Surrender Signing Aboard Battleship Missouri Sunday Sept. 2, 1945.

An important piece of history. Most people have seen still photos of the event but haven't seen the newsreel of it.

A film of the actual ceremony of the Japanese signing their surrender ending the second world war.  General Douglas MacArthur was the supreme commander of our armed forces in charge of the signing ceremony.
