The Organization called Machon Ahavat Emet and the funny side of getting older Blog number 1516 for Yehuda

Many of my readers have been with me from the beginning of my adventures. I used to write articles for Newspapers and they became extinct. I then turned to emails, but today not everybody reads them. For the last five years I have been doing this blog.  I always try to share a spiritual thought, give you some thing to laugh at or entertain you and have you part of my life. In my new life in Israel, I find many more people focused on spirituality than in the United States. In fact, I define a Jew as a spiritual seeker. One doesn't have to be Jewish to be a spiritual seeker. The bible is written for all mankind. Hence we are all called the children of Noah. All Noahites have to follow the seven noahite laws.(it is similar to the 10 commandments). If one is a Jew, one must also be a holy person as well. Holiness, includes eating kosher and praying three times a day, but mainly to walk in G-d's ways.

One of the biggest problems in trying to  walk in G-d's way is to do it without hurting each other. I study with many worthwhile organizations and one that I have just started to work with is called Machon Ahavat Emet. It was formed in 1995 to solve one of the greatest problems in the world today, the lack of unity of spiritual people. This organization puts out weekly material for grammar school children, high school children and the general public with positive educational material which teaches and encourages respect and love for all of G-d's children regardless of their ideology or background. They are in desperate need of funds If someone is looking for a good cause, please contact me and I will give you more information. I also support and am involved with  many other charitable organizations and if you are looking to get involved please also let me know.

 Learn Patience By Observing Others

Learn from the patience of others. Every person who is patient in situations that challenge you, serves as a role model for how you too can be patient.

As you observe the body language, manner of speaking, and word content of patient people, you have a picture of what you need to do to become more patient yourself.

Love Yehuda Lave

At the root of every gray hair, there is a dead brain cell.

Someone had to remind me,
So I'm reminding you, too.
Don't laugh.... It is all true!

Perks of reaching 50

Or being over 60
And heading towards
70 or beyond!

1.

Kidnappers are not very
interested in you.

2.

In a hostage situation,
you are likely to be released first.

3.

No one expects you to run --
anywhere.

4.

People call at 9 PM (or 9 AM) and ask,
'Did I wake you?'

5.

People no longer view you as a
hypochondriac.

6.

There is nothing left
to learn the hard way.

7.

Things you buy now will
never wear out.

8.

You can eat
supper at 4 PM.

9.

You can live without sex
but not your glasses.

10.

You get into heated arguments
about pension plans.

11.

You no longer think of speed limits
as a challenge.

12.

You quit trying to hold
your stomach in no matter who walks

into the room.

13.

You sing along
with elevator music.

14.

Your eyes won't get
much worse.

15
.
Your investment in health insurance
is finally beginning to pay off.

16.

Your joints are more accurate meteorologists
than the national weather service.

17.

Your secrets are safe with your friends
because they can't remember them either.

18.

Your supply of brain cells is finally down to
a manageable size.

19.

You can't remember
who sent you this list.

And you notice these are all

in big print for your convenience.

Forward this to everyone

You can remember
Right now!

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING:

Never, NEVER,
NEVER ,
Under any circumstances,
Take a sleeping pill, and a laxative on
The same night!
