The Three Musketeers at the Kotel

The Three are Rabbi Yehuda Glick, famous temple mount activist, and former Israel Mk, and then Robert Weinger, the world's greatest shofar blower and seller of Shofars, and myself after we had gone to the 12 gates of the Temple Mount in 2020 to blow the shofar to ask G-d to heal the world from the Pandemic. It was a highlight to my experience in living in Israel and I put it on my blog each day to remember.

The articles that I include each day are those that I find interesting, so I feel you will find them interesting as well. I don't always agree with all the points of each article but found them interesting or important to share with you, my readers, and friends. It is cathartic for me to share my thoughts and frustrations with you about life in general and in Israel. As a Rabbi, I try to teach and share the Torah of the G-d of Israel as a modern Orthodox Rabbi. I never intend to offend anyone but sometimes people are offended and I apologize in advance for any mistakes. The most important psychological principle I have learned is that once someone's mind is made up, they don't want to be bothered with the facts, so, like Rabbi Akiva, I drip water (Torah is compared to water) on their made-up minds and hope that some of what I have share sinks in. Rabbi Leo Dee to 'Post': We are all 'settlers' now -

By attacking Israeli kibbutzim and central Israel, Gazans made it clear that they regard all of Israel as their "West Bank" and every Israeli as a settler.

Israel Sets 24 Tishrei as National Oct 7 Remembrance Day

By Hana Levi Julian

Israel's government cabinet unanimously approved the establishment of an annual day of remembrance to mark the October 7 massacre by some 3,000 Hamas-led terrorists who left at least 1,200 people dead, thousands more wounded and 253 others who were abducted and dragged into Gaza captivity.

Of those, more than 100 are still being held by the terrorist organization. To date, 249 IDF soldiers have been killed in action since the start of Israel's ground operation in Gaza, intended to destroy the military and governing abilities of Hamas, rescue the hostages and ensure the enclave can never again be the source of a threat to the Jewish State.

The cabinet set the 24th day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei — the day after the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah in Israel, and the second day of Simchat Torah in Diaspora Jewish communities — as Israel's National October 7 Remembrance Day.

Two state ceremonies will be held to honor the memories of the IDF soldiers who fell since the start of the October 7 war and those of the civilians who were tortured and slaughtered by the barbarians during the invasion.

Because 24 Tishrei this year falls on the Sabbath (Shabbat), the 2024 National October 7 Remembrance Day will be held instead on the secular date of massacre, October 7, 2024.

The Portion of Tzav

Guarding Against Chametz in the Remains of the Meal Offering

The meal offering is brought while taking a fistful of the meal and placing it on the altar.

The meal offering was brought with matzot and not chametz and the remainder was also eaten by the kohanim as matzah and not chametz.

(Leviticus 6:10) " It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their portion of My offerings made by fire" .

The Talmud (Tractate Menachot 55) teaches us this law as derived from this verse.

The unique curved letter "pei" in the word "teiafeh" (baked) teaches us that the remainder of the offering is to be eaten by the kohanim is matzah and not chametz. (Remazei Yoel)

(I've also highlighted other curved "peis" in the portion.)

See you Sunday bli neder, Shabbat Shalom

We need Mashiach now!
