A CITY BUILT IN THE MOUNTAINS IN CHINA and nothing is impossible

Self-Mastery Builds Your Self-Image

Every time you have self-mastery in any way, you build up your self-image. "I am a person who is gaining more and more control over my emotions and actions all the time." Every time you have the emotional self-control to do something that you find difficult to do, you build up your self-image. Every time you refrain from saying or doing something, you build up your self-image.

Some people keep self-mastery journals. Writing down their successes and victories in exhibiting self-control improves their ability to exhibit a greater amount of self-mastery.

THE CLOCK and Easier than you Imagined

Easier Than You Imagined

You probably have things you currently feel are too difficult for you to learn or to do, just because of the way that you are looking at them. If you find a totally new way to look at what you are going to try to learn, you will find that it's much easier for you to learn than you had ever imagined. The new way of looking at things doesn't go against your limiting self-image.

Amazing GPS will find YOU in seconds and Peace of Mind

Peace Of Mind

Peace of mind is one of the greatest pleasures a person can have. Conversely, lack of peace of mind can make one's life constant torture.

A person who has mastered peace of mind has gained everything. To obtain peace of mind, you need to be at peace with your emotions and desires. And you need to be at peace with your Creator."

SOOOOO COOOOOOLLLLLLL

     This is scary!!!

Subject: Amazing GPS will FIND YOU!

It found me in 10 seconds.  It's amazing.  Must have been devised by the guys out at Lockheed in California .
Give this a try. It's truly amazing. It will give your location immediately!
Check out the link below. I was shocked to find EXACTLY where I am right now on Google Earth... NOT a house or street but where I AM right now! It's really unbelievable! I was surprised to know such a system exists. It is a GPS and will find the exact location of any Internet user in a second, using a sophisticated algorithm to do so.

Apply What You Know

Throughout your life, people have been giving you advice.

Recall the best advice you've ever received, and you will be able to benefit even more from that advice.

Right now, think of some wise advice that you have not yet applied to the degree that you could. Be resolved to apply that advice in the near future.

2 horses ...............beautiful ! and Limit your Down Time

Limit Your Down Time

Once something is past, it no longer exists.

If you experience pain or insult, don't add to it by later repeating to yourself, "How awful that was." This way, it will only last the limited time it actually exists. This is usually very short.

Realizing that suffering is temporary makes it much easier to tolerate insults and slights to your honor.

Two Horses
Author Unknown

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.

From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse.

But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing....

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.  If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell.  Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back,
Making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives
To help us when we are in need..

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....

Good friends are like that...
You may not always see them, but you know they are always there..

Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours, and remember...

Be kinder than necessary-

Everyone you meet is fighting
Some kind of battle.

Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......

THE YIDDISH ACADEMY AWARDS and Obstacles add to your pleasure and the Gang takes over Lake Poway

On a beautiful San Diego January Day, the gang takes over Lake Poway

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJhc9esw8tI

Obstacles Add to Your Pleasure

Pleasure comes from filling a need. A person is in a state of deficiency most of his life and focuses on obtaining that which he is lacking. At times, great obstacles prevent a person from meeting those needs. The more obstacles that arise, the more a person feels the void of what he is missing.

Eventually, when that need is met, the pleasure of obtaining is in proportion to the difficulty he previously experienced. When you obtain what you want without running up against obstacles, your pleasure is limited.

Mozart Like you have likely never heard before! and Expand your sense of self

Expand your Sense of Self

This weekend I went to a spiritual growth seminar with a learned scholar from New York whose name is Yosef Bechhofer.  We reviewed many spiritual principles, but what I took from it was to remind ourselves that every moment our job is to emulate G-d.  Now G-d has no body, form, or bank account. So how do we emulate him?  The answer is we emulate his actions, which are to do good and fix the world.

The more directly you can work at a job that influences peoples lives, the more directly you have a chance to do good. I choose to return to my field of expertise, "Saving people tax dollars without going to jail," because the most direct influence one can have on people is saving their money, so that they can do more charitable actions with it (or spend it on themselves).

We also learned that the bigger you define your self (instead of just you, move up to include your family, your community, your city, your country, the whole world), the greater your ability to do good.

It is always nice ot be able to have confirmation for your thoughts and actions.

Courage and Humility

Humility makes it easier to have courage. Humility frees you from worrying about how others perceive you. You have less of a need to make a good impression on people, so you are more open to learn new things. You don't mind if people see you as imperfect, or that you are not as skilled or talented as you would like to be.

An arrogant or conceited person always needs to appear to be perfect, to be highly skilled and talented. This creates tension and anxiety. The truly humble person is calmer and more relaxed.

The Future of Transportation and Strategic Humility

Strategic Humility

There is a very powerful tool that will enable you to overcome many potential quarrels. This is the art of knowing how to act with "strategic humility" when a needless quarrel might arise. By being willing to forgo illusory honor and speaking to someone from a humble position, you will be able to soften a heart made of stone. Your opponent's heart will melt in the face of your warmth when you act in a humble manner.

Even if you think you are losing by acting humbly, actually you lose absolutely nothing in a spiritual sense. Outwardly you are complying with the wishes of another person, but inwardly your spiritual level is not affected.

Love Yehuda

The future of transportation may not be high speed rail, but automated personal vehicles that will drive themselves.  They will be mush faster, safer and more fuel efficient than current vehicles because they will be driven by computers.

What is important is that they will pick you up from your home or office and deliver you to your destination.  With a train or bus system you must first get to the train station or bus stop, then ride the train to another train station or bus stop then take some sort of other transportation to your destination.

The time savings alone will make this form of transportation more cost effective and faster (point to point) than high speed rail.  But imagine being able to ride in you personal vehicle with all the conveniences and luxury you can afford and not have to contend with the unwashed masses.

The Google car is the first example of this:

Hot Air Balloons in Germany and common mistakes

The Most Common Mistake of Outsiders

One party comes over to you and tells you the negative things someone else said or did. You experience righteous anger. This person is certainly right, the other person is certainly wrong. You might tell your source, "I agree with you. He's an awful person." You might censure the other person, "You are an awful person." You might tell others, "This person is an awful person."

Did you hear both sides in the presence of each other before forming any opinion whatsoever? If not, the Torah considers what you heard as a "false report." (An important sage of the early 1900's, The Chofetz Chaim elaborates on this in his classic work on watching your mouth. See Prohibitions, no.2)

"The map is not the territory." This basic principle of General Semantics applies to every story and report you ever hear. Details are always left out. Words describing any situation are never an exact portrait of any interaction. What was the entire context? What were the exact words that were used by both sides? What was the exact tone of voice of each segment of the interchange? Even when someone reports what he himself said with total accuracy, the tone of voice totally transforms the energy that was exchanged. What were the facial expressions? What were the intentions, motivations, and assumptions?

King Solomon compares an outsider getting involved in an argument that is not his to a passerby who pulls the ear of a dog (Proverbs 26:17). The calm dog was harmless. Pull his ear and you'll have problems. Taking sides in a quarrel that's not yours is even worse when you don't really have the entire picture. Those who impulsively take sides often don't realize how many mistakes they will be making.

Every word an outsider says to a party in a quarrel can either make the situation better or worse. Whenever someone tells you about a situation that is either already a quarrel or could easily lead to a quarrel, ask yourself, "What can I say now that will be conducive for peace?" And when the answer is, "I don't really know," keep quiet. It's a major mistake to make things worse.

The Pillsbury Dough boy died and help others with their worries

Help Others With Their Worries

A person who is worried is depressed. Therefore, when speaking to that person, use positive words of consolation in order to put his heart in a state of joy.

It is a great act of kindness to help someone alleviate his or her feelings of worry. Look for opportunities to help someone overcome worrying.

Love Yehuda

The Pillsbury Dough-boy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly.  He was 71.

Dough boy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.
Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, and the Hostess Twinkies.

The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who knew how much he was kneaded.  Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turn-overs.  He was considered a very smart cookie, but wasted much of his dough on half-baked schemes.  Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children:  John Dough, Jane Dough, and Dosey Dough; plus they had one in the oven.  He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

A Falishi in the Israeli Parliament and the Art of Bouncing Back and Final day in Maui Pictures

Resilience: The Art of Bouncing Back

Build up your ability to be resilient, your ability to bounce back after a fall. As it states in Mishlei (24:25), "A righteous person will fall seven times and rise up." Everyone can fall; the main thing is to get up again.

When you think in terms of building your self-image, you will focus on the fact that you rose up after you fell. Of course, it would be best never to fall at all. But since falling is part of life, build your self-image by keeping your focus on what you are doing right. And when you fall, keep your focus on what you need to do to bounce back.

Are Jews So Smarter than the average population and Let Go of Your Anger and Day Three of Maui 1-14-11

Let Go of Your Anger

Make it a regular practice to imagine being calm and relaxed in situations that are likely to arouse your anger. As you increase your levels of patience and humility, you will increase your freedom from anger.

Today, be totally committed to let go of any anger that you begin to experience.

On a day where people advised against it, we took the famous road to Hanna, full of water falls and interesting people. Taking the road less traveled has made all the difference!! (part two--day three)

Why Are Jews So Smart?

By Lewis Regenstein

The question has intrigued and baffled researchers for centuries. We all know people who defy the stereotype, yet it persists, demanding our attention. It leaves us wondering whether there is validity to the widespread belief that Jews are so much smarter than other people
But there can be little doubt that Jews have for centuries been substantially over-represented in many fields of learning and accomplishment. One must wonder, how could such a tiny, numerically insignificant group produce so many of the world's smartest, most accomplished, and most influential people?
Jews comprise an amazing number of history's most important figures, people who have had a profound impact on humanity: the Patriarch Abraham, whose life and teachings are considered sacred by Jews, Christians, and Moslems; Moses, the lawgiver to Jews and Christians; Jesus and his disciple, Paul, who founded and spread Christianity.
Looking back into the 20th century alone, one can clearly see that Jews have played many a key role in shaping the modern world (if not always in a positive way): physicist Albert Einstein; the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud; Communism's Karl Marx; developers of the polio vaccine Dr's Jonas Salk and Albert Sabin; and the leading developers of the first atomic bomb, as inspired by Einstein's theories – among them, Felix Bloch, Niels Bohr, Otto Frisch, Robert Oppenheimer, Leo Szilard, and Edward Teller. Indeed, Jews were so dominant in the field of nuclear physics in Europe throughout the 1930's that it was often referred to as "Jewish physics."
There is even some evidence of Elvis' having Jewish ancestry!
Jews may not be history's most popular people, but no other group has even come close to matching, proportionally, Jewish abilities and accomplishments. Combined with other commonly perceived Jewish traits such as ambition, curiosity, energy, imagination, and persistence, Jewish intelligence has elevated an incredible number of Jews to the top ranks of various fields.

Consider the following:
~The proportion of Jews with IQ's of 140 or more is estimated to be about six times the proportion of any other ethnic group.
~ Although Jews constitute only about two-tenths of one percent of the world's population, Jews won 29 percent of the Nobel Prizes in literature, medicine, physics and chemistry in the second half of the 20thcentury. So far this century, the figure is 32 percent. And these Jews of whom we speak were almost exclusively male Jews primarily of western European ancestry (less than one-tenth of one percent of the world's population), in spite of pervasive discrimination, numerous legal barriers, frequent persecution, and the Holocaust.
~From 1870 until 1950, Jewish leadership in such fields as literature, music, visual arts, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and philosophy equaled somewhere from four to fourteen times the Jewish proportion of the population in Europe and North America.
~In 1954, 28 children in the New York City public school system were found to have IQ's of 170 or higher – 24 of these were Jewish.
And, of course, the extraordinarily high proportion of Jews in such fields as medicine, law, finance, literature, science, creative arts and the media is as obvious as it is astonishing. To some, these facts are awkward and even embarrassing, feeding stereotypes of "crafty" and "clever" Jews good at making money and flaunting their superiority to non-Jews. Indeed, the subject – the fact, if you will now allow -- of Jewish intellectual superiority is rarely if ever discussed in Jewish publications.
To explain this, we have a self-described "Scots-Irish gentile from Iowa," Charles Murray of the American Enterprise Institute, author of the solidly documented "The Bell Curve", which in 1994 stirred up a storm of controversy by discussing in not always politically correct language "differences in intellectual capacity among people and groups, and what those differences mean for America's future."
Murray has recently written a brilliant and convincing essay for the respected Jewish publication "Commentary," on "Jewish Genius," citing many of the above facts and material on which this article is based . This is the first time the magazine has systematically discussed this normally taboo topic that so many Jews are reluctant publicly to acknowledge.
Murray observes that the two most influential works of literature ever were written by and about Jews: the Hebrew and the Christian bibles, the so-called Old and New Testaments, and he goes on to cite numerous other examples of what can only be called Jewish intellectual supremacy.
Murray argues persuasively that "elevated Jewish intelligence is grounded in genetics" rather than being environmentally caused (by such factors as having books in the home), and that it is 'substantially heritable." And Jews, especially the Ashkenazim of central and western Europe, have been engaging for centuries in what basically amounts to selective mating and merging genes to produce children of high intelligence.
The Talmud (Pesahim 49a) says that "A man should sell all he possesses in order to marry the daughter of a scholar, as well as marry his daughter to a scholar." In the Jewish community of the Middle Ages, the smartest men often became rabbis, and these learned men of high status were able to marry the daughters of successful merchants, thus "selecting" in favor of high intelligence.
At the same time, Christians were doing just the opposite: priests and monks of the dominant Roman Catholic Church – also usually among the best and brightest in their communities– were prohibited from marrying, thus "selecting out" through celibacy most of these intellectually superior men from the gene pool.
Murray also observes that "Sephardi Jews rose to distinction in many of the countries where they settled. Some economic historians have traced the decline of Spain after 1500 [following the expulsion of the Jews], and the subsequent rise of the Netherlands, in part to the Sephardi commercial talent that was transferred from one to the other."
Murray's scholarly and extensively documented article cites many other reasons for Jewish intellectual superiority in verbal and reasoning skills, including two crucial factors, which are often overlooked.
The most important of these can be found in an article entitled, "Jewish Occupational Selection," and written by two scholars, Maristella Botticini and Zvi Eckstein. They focus on a decree issued in 64 C.E. by the martyred sage Joshua ben Gamla, high priest in the last years of the Second Temple, requiring that all males be enrolled in school by age six. The ordinance was largely adhered to, and, in the words of Murray, "Within about a century, the Jews, uniquely among the peoples of the world, had effectively established universal male literacy and numeracy."
Moreover, throughout the centuries, Jewish males have had to study and learn the law, a process one never completes, and to read –often aloud in public -- in order to practice their faith and teach their children. Murray speculates that many Jews of low intelligence, who could not read well or fulfill the intellectual demands of their religion, tended to drift away from it.
Murray also cites a thesis of the geneticist Cyril Darlington, arguing that Jews were "decisively shaped much earlier," during the period of the fall of Jerusalem and captivity under Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar in 586 B.C.E. According to the Bible (2 Kings 24:10-14), only the elite among the Israelites were taken to Babylon, leaving behind the unskilled and presumably less intelligent. The king "carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour… and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land."
By the time the Israelites returned more than a century later, many of those who had remained had been killed off or had married foreigners and been absorbed by other peoples. The returned exiles reconstituted a Jewish community comprised largely of descendants of its most intelligent members. Ever since, practicing Jews have continued to try to perpetuate their "ethnic purity," usually marrying within their own group, and resisting intermarriage with and assimilation by their neighbors.
But, still not satisfied by the evidence he so impressively presents, Murray continues to wonder about the intellectual prowess demonstrated from the very beginning by the Jewish people. "Why should one particular tribe at the time of Moses, living in the same environment as other nomadic and agricultural peoples of the Middle East, have already evolved elevated intelligence when others did not?"
The answer, speculates Murray, may be his "happily irrefutable' hypothesis, drawn from the Jews' earliest and most famous literary work: "The Jews are God's chosen people."

Understanding Southern with Bill Cosby and Do things that are difficult for you and the Road to Hanna

Do Things Daily That Are Difficult For You To Do

Each and every day, say or do at least one thing that you find difficult to say or do.

Every time you say something that is difficult for you to say, you build up your self-image: "I am a person who can speak up and say things even thought I find them difficult to say."

Every time you do something difficult, you build up your self-image: "I am a person who can do things even though they are difficult for me to do."

This is a highly empowering self-image booster. This way you will keep saying and doing things that you need to say and do, and you won't be stopped by the thoughts of, "I find it difficult to say or do, so I won't say or do it."

Love Yehuda

remembering old NY and Coping with Adversity and balance of Day Two on Maui

Coping With Adversity

While you should try ot protect yourself from harm, if you do suffer, the best tool is acceptance. Accepting your situation greatly minimizes the amount you actually suffer. The most unfortunate person in the world is one who has not learned how to accept setbacks and misfortunes. Either this day or the next he, like everyone else in the world, will inevitably drink from the cup of suffering, which is either a test or an atonement. By failing to accept suffering, the pain you feel will be much more acute and harsh than necessary.

Just How old is Grandpa!!!! and True Courage and 2nd day of Maui

True Courage

There are many forms of courage:

Have the courage to ask people for help when you need it.

Have the courage to say, "I don't know."

Have the courage to ask questions when you don't understand something.

Have the courage to push forward even if you might make mistakes.

Have the courage to do the will of our Creator.

Love Yehuda

Maui, 2nd half of Adventures in Hawaii, Day Two. Pouring rain for much of the day, but we managed to be indoors in the morning in the Sugar Museum, and found a nice wet afternoon in Lahaina that we managed to walk between the rain drops and take some nice pics.

The way home was floating down the highway and an ark would have been better than a car.

We will see what tomorrow brings

Here are the pics

How old is Grandpa!!!!

Stay  with this -- the answer is at the end...It will  blow you away.

One evening a grandson was talking to his grandfather about  current events. The grandson asked his grandfather what he thought about the shootings at schools, the computer age and just things in general.

The Grandfather replied, 'Well, let me think a minute, I was born before:

'
 Television

'
 Penicillin

'
 Polio shots

'
 Frozen foods

'
 Xerox

'
 Contact lenses

'
 Frisbees and

'
 the pill

There w
ere no:

'
 Credit cards

'
 Laser beams

' Ball-point pens

Man had not invented:

'
 Pantyhose

'
 Air conditioners

'
 Dishwashers

'
 Clothes dryers

'
Clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air.

'
Man hadn't yet walked on the moon.

Your Grandmother and I got married first . . . and then lived together.

Every family had a father and a mother.

Until I was 25, I called every man older than me, 'Sir'.
After I turned 25, I still called policemen and every man with a title, 'Sir.'

We were before gay-rights, computer-dating, dual careers, daycare centers and group therapy.

Our lives were governed by the Ten Commandments, good judgment and common sense.

We were taught to know the difference between right and wrong and to stand up and take responsibility for our actions.

Serving your country was a  privilege; living in this country was a bigger privilege.

We thought fast food was what people ate during Lent.

Having a meaningful relationship meant getting along with your cousins.

Draft dodgers were those who closed front doors as the evening breeze started..

Time-sharing meant time the family spent together in the evenings and weekends-not purchasing condominiums.

We never heard of FM radios, tape decks, CDs, electric typewriters, yogurt or guys wearing earrings.

We listened to Big Bands, Jack Benny and the President's speeches on our radios.

And I don't ever remember any kid blowing his brains out listening to Tommy Dorsey.

If you saw anything with 'Made in Japan' on it, it was junk.

The term 'making out' referred to how you did on your school exam.

Pizza Hut, McDonald's and instant coffee were unheard of.

We had 5 &10-cent stores where you could actually buy things for 5 and 10 cents.

Ice-cream cones, phone calls, rides on a  streetcar and a Pepsi were all a nickel.

And if you didn't  want to splurge, you could spend your nickel on enough stamps to mail 1 letter and 2 postcards.

You could buy a new Chevy Coupe for $600, . . . but who could afford one? Too bad, because gas was 11 cents a gallon.

In my day:

'
 'Grass' was mowed.

'
 'Coke' was a cold drink.

'
'Pot' was something your mother cooked in.

'
'Rock music' was your grandmother's lullaby.

'
'Aids' were helpers in the Principal's office.

'
'Chip' meant a piece of wood.

'
'Hardware' was found in a hardware store.

'
 'Software' wasn't even a word.

We were the last generation to actually believe that a lady needed a husband to have a baby.

No wonder people call us 'old and confused.' They say there is a generation gap... and how old do you  think I am?

I bet you have this old man  in mind........you are in for a shock!

Read on to see -- pretty scary if you think about it and pretty sad at the same time.

Are you ready ?????

This man would only be 59 years old!!

This is a prize-winning short called "The Porcelain Unicorn and share your Knowledge

Before Tax season Starts, we are taking a quick break to Maui, Hawaii. The airline fare was 1/2 off, the weather in San Diego was cold and it was Aura's birthday.  Win-Win for all. Cut and paste the title below to see pictures from Day one.

Now on to the message of the day

Share Your Knowledge

When you meet someone you know, ask yourself, "What knowledge or ideas can I share with this person that he would appreciate?" Similarly, when reading articles or books, try to think of people who would want to read them.

Focus on Your Spouses Virtues and Victor Molev

Focus on Your Spouses Virtues

Keep focusing on the virtues of the person to whom you are married.

This simple idea can easily save people much heartache and strife in their marriage. When you see the good in someone, it is much easier to tolerate the traits you find negative.Believe me, everyone has negative traits, including me and you.

When you are frustrated with your spouse and want to trade him/her in for another, remember the next one will have different negative traits that will drive you crazy as well. Remember by focusing on her/his good qualities you can learn to tolerate the negative traits and you can remember that life has bad and good.

Love Yehuda

Enjoy the art from Victor Molev, but my sensitive friends remember it is modern art, and some is not modest.

HILARIOUS Computer version of "Who's On First" and Identify yourself as a Soul

Identify Yourself as a Soul with a Body

A person who identifies himself with his soul will take good care of his body to keep it safe and healthy, but he will keep his main focus on nourishing his soul.

A person who sees himself as being a soul, someone who has a body just for the duration of his stay on this planet, will tend to view other people as essentially being souls also. This will raise his view of others. He will automatically treat others with greater respect.

The more you see yourself as a soul with a body, the higher your self-image will be. Who am I? "I am a soul who is living in this world within my body."

When you don't know what to do, ask yourself, "What course of action would my soul want me to choose?"

This is TOO good! Yes, this IS what they would do if they were still here!  Read on:

You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read on...

If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous sketch, 'Who's on First?' might have turned out something like this:

COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT

ABBOTT:
Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?

COSTELLO:
Thanks I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.

ABBOTT:
Mac?

COSTELLO:
No, the name's Lou.

ABBOTT:
Your computer?

COSTELLO
: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one.

ABBOTT:
Mac?

COSTELLO:
I told you, my name's Lou.

ABBOTT:
What about Windows?

COSTELLO:
Why? Will it get stuffy in here?

ABBOTT:
Do you want a computer with Windows?

COSTELLO:
I don't know. What will I see when I look at the windows?

ABBOTT:
Wallpaper.

COSTELLO:
Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software.

ABBOTT:
Software for Windows?

COSTELLO:
No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What do you have?

ABBOTT:
Office.

COSTELLO:
Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?

ABBOTT:
I just did.

COSTELLO:
You just did what?

ABBOTT:
Recommend something.

COSTELLO:
You recommended something?

ABBOTT:
Yes.

COSTELLO:
For my office?

ABBOTT:
Yes.

COSTELLO:
OK, what did you recommend for my office?

ABBOTT:
Office.

COSTELLO:
Yes, for my office!

ABBOTT:
I recommend Office with Windows.

COSTELLO:
I already have an office with windows! OK, let's just say I'm sitting at my computer and I want to type a proposal. What do I need?

ABBOTT:
Word.

COSTELLO:
What word?

ABBOTT:
Word in Office.

COSTELLO:
The only word in office is office.

ABBOTT:
The Word in Office for Windows.

COSTELLO:
Which word in office for windows?

ABBOTT:
The Word you get when you click the blue 'W'.

COSTELLO:
I'm going to click your blue 'w' if you don't start with some straight answers. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?

ABBOTT:
Money.

COSTELLO:
That's right. What do you have?

ABBOTT:
Money.

COSTELLO:
I need money to track my money?

ABBOTT:
It comes bundled with your computer.

COSTELLO:
What's bundled with my computer?

ABBOTT:
Money.

COSTELLO:
Money comes with my computer?

ABBOTT:
Yes. No extra charge.

COSTELLO:
I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?

ABBOTT:
One copy.

COSTELLO:
Isn't it illegal to copy money?

ABBOTT:
Microsoft gave us a license to copy Money.

COSTELLO:
They can give you a license to copy money?

ABBOTT:
Why not? THEY OWN IT!

(A few days later)

ABBOTT:
Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?

COSTELLO:
How do I turn my computer off?

ABBOTT:
Click on 'START'.............
