Counterfeit money isn't real. Neither is counterfeit courage. Exaggerating one's brave and heroic acts in order to prove to others that one has courage, is a sign of a lack of courage. This applies all the more so, if someone were to fabricate an entire incident.
Ask yourself: Do I ever try to give others the impression that I have more courage than I really do? If the answer is, "Yes," see this as a sign that you need to increase genuine courage.
