6 Powerful Ways To Transform Fear Into Love by Shannon Kaiser Everyone wants more love in our lives—and I don't just mean romantic love. That can be nice, but love comes in all forms. The thing that most often keeps us from getting the love we want is fear. You may be worried about your career, your family, or the state of the world affairs. So, to help you turn your worries into something more productive, here's a powerful list of things you can do to move from fear into love. The first step to healing is becoming aware of our fear. Once we are aware, we can see how it prevents us from moving forward. Then, we can reject our fear-based thoughts and reconnect with the loving guidance within. Instead of focusing on what you fear, or replaying a negative outcome, turn your attention to the good around you. Here are six essential ways to attract more positivity and love into your life: 1. Focus on the good. We all just want to be seen, heard, and appreciated. One of the most loving things you can do is provide a safe place for someone to speak their own truth. You don't need to judge them or try to convince them of anything. just be present. This support will engender more loving interactions. 2. Feel your feelings. A powerful way to attract more positivity is to embrace whatever emotions you have. Embrace them, but master them. Don't let them master you. Acknowledging your own feelings is more important than trying to get others to feel them, too. So process your emotions and let other people process theirs—in their own ways. 3. Try to understand what you fear. The truth is, people are terrified of what they don't understand. Instead of lashing out at what frightens you, seek to understand it. Ask yourself why you're so afraid of certain things. What do those things really represent? What does this say about the wounds in you that need to be addressed? What does this reveal about your faith and your place in the world? There are no wrong answers. There is simply the truth within. But seeking to learn more about what scares you is the path to love and peace. 4. Ask what you can give, not what you can get. Instead of fighting hate with more hate, can you make positive change with love? Rage and verbal abuse will not solve your dilemma, but only create further separation. This is a perfect time to get involved with organizations you believe in, share more of your true self with loved ones, and open up instead of isolating yourself. 5. Commit to staying open-minded. When you are afraid, you close yourself off to loving outcomes. Use this time to practice surrender and to deepen your faith in the bigger picture. From a spiritual perspective, everything is always in right order. If you can't accept what is, you work to change it. But do so with grace, love, and intention. 6. Radiate love. This should not be a time of separation. It is an opportunity for community and collaboration. This can be as simple as closing your eyes, thinking of a certain person, and sending them love. Now, more than ever, we need each other. Despite our different beliefs and opinions, we all need love. We can rise above our differences and be the light for one another by letting love in. The outside world is a reflection of our internal state. Instead of pointing the finger, being a victim, or passing judgment, seek to learn about the pain you are carrying within yourself. What part of you feels unheard, unloved, or misunderstood? Seek to show yourself the love you may not be finding in the world and, sooner than later, you will see your world begin to transform. Love is the way—it is the only way. Let love guide you. |
