Ponderisms....and time.......and Serve the Almighty with Joy and Shabbat Shalom

Serve the Almighty With Joy

"Serve the Almighty with joy." (Psalms 100:2)

Joy adds to our enthusiasm and love for the Almighty and will motivate us to cleave to Him.

If a person is sad when he fulfills the commandments, it is analogous to a servant who serves his master with a sad facial expression.

Try to feel joy whenever you fulfill a mitzvah.

The Talmud relates that some people saw that the Sage Abaye was very happy. They asked him why. "I have just performed a mitzvah, so I feel great joy," he replied.

I bet you never thought of it this way, . Enjoy

Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest:

Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400 in your private bank account for your own use. However, this prize has rules, just as any game has certain rules.

The first set of rules would be:

1) Everything that you didn't spend during each day would be taken away from you.

2) You may not simply transfer money into some other account. You may only spend it.

3) Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400.00 for that day.

The second set of rules:
1) The bank can end the game without warning; at any time it can say,"It's over, the game is over!"

2) It can close the account in an instant and you will not receive a new one.

What would you personally do?  You would buy anything and everything you wanted, right?  Not only for yourself, but for all the people in your life, right? Maybe even for people you don't know, because you couldn't possibly spend it all on yourself and the people in your life, right?  You would try to spend every single cent,  and use it all up every day, right?

Actually, this game is a reality, but not with money!

Each of us is in possession of such a magical bank.  We just don't seem to see it.

The MAGICAL BANK is TIME!

Each morning we awaken and receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life, and when the day is done, any remaining time is gone and NOT credited to us.  What we haven't lived up to that day is lost forever. Yesterday is forever gone.

Each morning the account is refilled, but the magical bank can dissolve our account at any time....WITHOUT WARNING.

SO, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds?  Think about that, and always think of this:  Enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than we think.  Take good care of yourself, and enjoy life.  Live each day to the fullest, be kind to one another, and be forgiving.  Harbor a positive attitude and always be the first to smile.

Here's wishing you a wonderful, beautiful day, each and every day!

Glad to Help and Bill Gates gives advice to teens

Glad To Help

Be grateful to anyone you help. They are helping you fulfill your life's mission.
Be especially careful not to speak or act condescendingly when you try to help someone. The good you do can be offset by the damage caused by an insulting tone.

Love Yehuda

~ Bill Gates ~
This should be posted in every school or kid's bedroom.
Love him or hate him , he sure hits the nail on the head with this!
Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about
eleven (11) things they did not and will not learn in school.
He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings
created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and
how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world doesn't care about your self-esteem.
The world will expect you to accomplish something
BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school.
You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity.
Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping:
They called it opportunity.

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault,
so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7 : Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring
as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills,
cleaning your clothes and listening to you
talk about how cool you thought you were.
So before you save the rain forest
from the parasites of your parent's generation,
try delousing the closet in your own room..

Rule 8 : Your school may have done away with winners and losers,
but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades
and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer.
*This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 : Life is not divided into semesters.
You don't get summers off and very few employers
are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF.
*Do that on your own time.

Rule 10 : Television is NOT real life.
In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11 : Be nice to nerds.
Chances are you'll end up working for one..

If you can read this... Thank a Teacher.
If you can read this in English... Thank a Soldier!
And for life and everything else you have... Thank God!!

Now... think about this and smile if you agree and please pass this on...
If you don't agree, go stick your head in the sand and take a deep breath!

text codes for seniors and associate apologizing with Pleasure

  Associate Apologizing With Pleasure

The only reason it is difficult to apologize is because one fears emotional pain.

So if you find it difficult to apologize to someone, visualize yourself apologizing and feeling good about the experience.

By creating emotional pleasure for yourself as you apologize, you will motivate yourself to do the right thing.

Dennis Miller on Jews vs Palestinians, Funny & directly on target on Israel independence day and Positive Motivation

Positive Motivation

Be aware of how you speak to yourself in general, and what you say to yourself when you try to motivate yourself in particular. People who motivate themselves with heavy criticism likewise tend to do so with others also. Even if someone finds that this works better for himself than a softer approach, it is still not the pattern of choice when trying to motivate children and students. The harm to their self-image could be devastating.

Choose positive words of encouragement. Believe in the potential of children, students, and anyone else you want to motivate. And speak to them in a way that will motivate them to believe in their own potential.

Love Yehuda

In the movie "Exodus," (1960) starring Paul Newman, the Jews were called

"Palestinians" and the Arabs were called "Arabs."

Dennis Miller is a comedian who has a show called Dennis Miller Live on HBO.

Although he is not Jewish, he recently had the following to say  about the

Middle East situation:

  Here we go:

The Palestinians want their own country. There's just one thing about that:

There are no Palestinians . It's a made up word. Israel was called Palestine

for two thousand years. Like 'Wiccan,'(the worship of witches) 'Palestinian' sounds ancient but is

really a modern invention. Before the Israelis won the land in the 1967 war,

Gaza was Owned by Egypt , the West Bank was owned by Jordan , and there were

no Palestinians.'

As soon as the Jews took over and started growing oranges as big as

basketballs, what do you know, say hello to the 'Palestinians,' weeping for

their deep bond with their lost 'land' and 'nation.'

So for the sake of honesty, let's not use the word 'Palestinian' any more to

describe these delightful folks, who dance for joy at deaths until someone

points out they're being taped. Instead, let's call them what they are:

'Other Arabs Who Can't Accomplish Anything In Life And Would Rather Wrap

Themselves In The Seductive Melodrama Of Eternal Struggle And Death. ' I

know that's a bit unwieldy to expect to see on CNN. How about this, then:

'Adjacent Jew-Haters .' Okay, so the Adjacent Jew-Haters want their own

country.

Oops, just one more thing: No, they don't . They could've had their own

country. Anytime in the last thirty years, especially several years ago at

Camp David . But If you have your own country, you have to have traffic

lights and garbage trucks. And Chambers of Commerce, and,  worse, you

actually have to figure out some way to make a living.

That's no fun. No, they want what all the other Jew-Haters in the region

want: Israel .. They also want a big pile of dead Jews, of course that's

where the Real fun is -- but mostly they want Israel .

Why? For one thing, trying to destroy Israel - or 'The Zionist Entity' as

their Textbooks call it -- for the last fifty years has allowed the rulers

of Arab Countries to divert the attention of their own people away from the

fact that they're the blue-ribbon most illiterate, poorest, and tribally

backward on God's Earth, and if you've ever been around God's Earth, you

know that's really saying something.

It makes me roll my eyes every time one of our pundits waxes poetic about

the great history and culture of the Muslim Mid east. Unless I'm missing

something, the Arabs haven't given anything to the world since Algebra, and,

by the way, thanks a hell of a lot for that one.

Chew this around and spit it out: 500 million Arabs; 5 Million Jews.

Think of all the Arab countries as a football field, and Israel as a pack of

matches sitting in the middle of it. And now these same folks swear that if

Israel gives them half of that pack of matches, everyone will be pals..

  Really? Wow, what neat news.

Hey, but what about the string of wars to obliterate the tiny country and

the constant din of rabid blood oaths to drive very Jew into the sea? Oh,

that? We were just kidding.

My friend, Kevin Rooney, made a gorgeous point the other day: Just reverse

the Numbers. Imagine 500 million Jews and 5 million Arabs. I was stunned at

the simple brilliance of it. Can anyone picture the Jews strapping belts of

razor blades and dynamite to themselves? Of course not.

Or marshaling every fiber and force at their disposal for generations to

drive a tiny Arab State into the sea? Nonsense.

Or dancing for joy at the murder of innocents? Impossible.

Or spreading and believing horrible lies about the Arabs baking their bread

with the blood of children? Disgusting.

No, as you know, left to themselves in a world of peace, the worst Jews

would ever do to people is debate them to death.

However, in any big-picture strategy, there's always a danger of losing

moral weight. We've already lost some. After September 11th our president

told us and the world he was going to root out all terrorists and the

countries that supported them.

Beautiful. Then the Israelis, after months and months of having the

equivalent of an Oklahoma City every week (and then every day) start to do

the same thing we did, and WE tell them to show restraint.

If America were being attacked with an Oklahoma City every day, we would all

very shortly be screaming for the administration to just be done with it and

kill everything south of the Mediterranean and east of the Jordan .

Antarctica and self worth and outside factors and Happy 63rd Birthday for Israel tonight

Self Worth and Outside Factors

Someone lacking clarity as to what is truly important can still feel inferior, based on nonsense that has no bearing on self-worth.

An example is Nebechudnezzer, the powerful eveil monarch with tremendous power, but nevertheless failed to find satisfaction. The Midrash says he constantly felt embarrassed because he was short and fat.

He had a choice of focusing on his power and enjoying it, but instead focused on his physical shortcomings. He thus turned his life into a constant state of misery - when he should have rather ignored these things (which pragmatically made no difference anyway).

As a tool, ask yourself: "How does a certain factor prove that I am less of a person?"

Remember: Lack of skills and talents are practical liabilities, but in no way detract from the essential value of the person if the soul is what counts. This is part of the power in belief in a higher power. If we are all souls, than our physical bodies are just our suit of clothes. And while clothes make the man, our suit does not make the soul. Without a believe in a higher power, all Nebechudnezzer could do was believe his suit was all there was to him. Hence he was an "empty suit".

Speak with conviction poem and the reverse side commence with an apology

Quote of the day:

Obama killed Osama and we get the 72 versions..

also here is an Obama rap version

http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhdiCBxENBJoQYJyB9

..

Commence With An Apology

If you have to speak to someone in a position of authority, and you are afraid you might irritate him/her, starting with an apology will frequently prevent their becoming angry.
For example, you can say, "I realize this may get you angry, but I feel I need to say it." By telling someone you might make him angry, paradoxically this will frequently prevent his becoming angry.

New Roadrunner Cartoon - "Coyote Falls" in near-3D and replace the Coyote's hate for the roadrunner with love

Replace Hate With Love

The bible (Vayikra 19:17) explicitly states, "Do not hate your brother in your heart." Even the simplest person is commanded not to have envy, hatred, and feelings of revenge and a grudge. This is such an important and basic obligation that the Jewish people's failure in this regard led directly to the destruction of the Second Temple.

Is there anyone you hate without a valid reason? Mentally visualize that hate melting away. In its place, visualize compassion, empathy. Now mentally bless that person. Bless him/her that they should treat you so wonderfully that you are filled with love for that person

Here is a little present from your childhood, a new Coyote/roadrunner cartoon, What if the coyote replaced hate with love?

Alaska: Exceptional photos AND YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

"You are what you eat", so the old saying goes. With today's modern meat and food processing we no longer have to worry about things like tape worm and other nasty little bugs. But the law's of Kosher were not set down by G-d as a mere safety net for our physical health.

What you eat not only effects your digestive health it effects your spiritual health as well. It is not by chance that the majority of forbidden mammals, birds and fish are predators or scavengers that eat the dead. These animal posses a cruel nature, and as the saying goes you are what you eat. We avoid these predators so that we do not absorb their cruel nature. Thus by staying away from Non-Kosher animals we can help to refine our own nature.

The Bible does give a list of the forbidden birds, though it does not name those mammals that are kosher or forbidden. It simply gives two markers that must both be present to qualify an animal as kosher, a split hoof and the chewing of the cud. Interestingly the Torah lists only 4 mammals, these mammals all have one thing in common, they only have one of the markers. These animals are the camel, hare, swine and hyrax. In the last 33 centuries since G-d commanded these laws to Moses, entire continents, replete with many "new" and unimagined species have been discovered. Many of these species have had both Kosher markers or neither of the markers making them un-kosher, but none have had just one like the four listed in the Bible!

This my friends as they say is "just the tip of the ice berg" when it comes to the laws of keeping Kosher, but it is a good place to start. Next time you sit down to eat, take a pause and think about how it will effect both your physical health and your spiritual well being. Are you what you eat?

So you think you can drive a car??? Israel at Hadera and Daniel Webster on Country in 1837 and Hadera Israel

...There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow. ... Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing."

Absolutely amazing shark video! and life isn't a competitive game and Jerusalem pictures

Life Isn't a Competitive Game

Each human being is unique and one of a kind. We each have a unique purpose in life.

We each have our own unique ability to connect with our Creator. We each have our own strengths and weaknesses, virtues and faults.

We are not meant to be an exact clone of anyone else. Therefore, life isn't a competitive game.

We each are meant to serve the Almighty with our unique character, temperament, and personality based on our unique life situations and circumstances in the past and present.

YEHUDA BACK IN USA AND Cadillac's commercial in China and what do say to yourself after someone criticizes you?

What Do You Say to Yourself After Someone Criticizes You?

Imagine that someone criticizes you. Then imagine yourself feeling joyful about this wonderful opportunity to learn something positive from the criticism. Imagine that you love to hear feedback about what you've said and done or didn't say and do. Positive feedback means that you are on track. Critical feedback means that you can now improve and develop yourself.

Imagine that your self-talk sounds like, "I appreciate and am grateful for this wonderful opportunity to become better. I am grateful to this person for telling me something that will be beneficial for me."

If you actually respond to criticism this way, congratulations! It shows that you have integrated one of the elevated qualities listed in the 48 factors to acquire the spirituality of G-d

If you are like most people, however, you don't think of critical feedback as one of your greatest pleasures in life. But if you have the inner strength, courage, and honesty to be open to hearing criticism, you will grow more in life.

So what can you say to yourself if you have not yet mastered the ability to love criticism?

One possibility is: "My goal is to constantly grow and develop myself. I love positive feedback. But I can grow from critical feedback. So I will increase my inner strength, courage, and honesty to be open to hear what people say, and to weigh what they say objectively."

You don't have to feel bad about yourself because someone gave you critical feedback. Your value as a person is inherent, because you are a child of the Creator and are created in His image. You have many positive qualities and have done many positive things. Your value and worth are infinite. Integrating this attitude will ensure that your sense of self-worth will remain consistently high.
Love Yehuda

State Flowers and the pleasure of forgiving and pictures of the wailing wall

The Pleasure Of Forgiving

When we forgive others, we help ourselves as much as we help those whom we forgive.

We are elevating ourselves and will feel much better when we forgive, than if we would keep on adding more and more resentment.

Try it for a couple of weeks. At night, think about any difficulties you had with others and forgive them.

Notice how it will change your attitude toward those people the next day.

A person who threatens, "I'll remember that," or "I'll get even with you," hurts himself more than he hurts others.

Why suffer from resentment when you can choose the pleasure of forgiving?
