My letter to the Jerusalem Post Ramadan makes first page, Rosh Hodesh Nisson shows up on page 11 The front page of today's (29th of Adar) paper shows us a picture of the temple mount, with a woman with a telescope searching in vain for the new moon.
Amazingly the full moon is not until tonight, the First of Nissan, the Jewish people's Rosh Chodesh of our First month of the year.
It is nice that we give the front page of the Jerusalem post, supposingly the leading English paper in the JEWISH STATE, to inclusion to the Muslims, but how hard would it have been to put in a few words to mention it was also Rosh Chodesh tonight in this caption?
Let us hope that the other story on the front page, the change of guard with your new editor Avi Mayer, will bring a change of focus to remembering, that is the Jewish State, and that bringing up Jewish ideas and concepts is Politically Correct not wrong! |
